It consists of 2 separate pieces of fabric – dark hajduk green and burgundy, sewn together with golden fringe inserted between them.
The image is made using the applique method.
Appliqué is a technology in which the design is created from additionally sewn textile, with the image shaped using a zigzag stitch.
This technique achieves a striking, relief image.

This “Liberty or Death” flag is a modern replica of the legendary flag embroidered by Rayna Knyaginya during the April Uprising of 1876.
